Airfix Strikemaster (Jet Provost T5)

You will have noticed this blog has been quiet of late. Lots of projects in the run up to Christmas had meant the models being put on hold, but now we head into the new year, and start with the finished provosts.

First up the older kit, sold as a BAC Strikemaster but with an option of building a T5 Jet provost.

You will recall I used aftermarket decals

to model a T5 prototype

all in all a good wee kit

very few moulding issues despite its age

and reasonably good fit all over

in fact a very good kit, and an relatively easy build

the moulding looks a bit heavy compared with it’s modern counterpart

but the look and feel are pretty good

and it has built up into a kit I am rather happy with
