Time to buld up the fuselages, but first…

A test fit has shown that the wing on the new kit needs modification, with the rear mounting flange having to be cut off because I had fitted the intakes too early

The two fuselage halves can then be glued together and the wings clipped in all in one operation. Fit is excellent, apart from the nose section

a similar build up with the old kit, the fit is a lot more sloppy this time, but still adequate

The faults in the new kit are obvious underneath the new kit, with a gaping gap behind the nose wheel bay

nothing so serious on the old kit, just general sloppiness

but the first real chance to view the two planforms together
