Time to get back to the wheels, the Gnat and Sabre wheels have tyres painted on.

But the Phantom has “Real” rubber tyres.

According to reviews the preferred option is to use the moulded full wheels also provided in the set, but why would you? these look so much better.

Finally the gnat gets wheel hubs inserted on the face side of the wheels.

  1. I know in some kits the rubber has been known to react badly with the plastic. I have no idea about this particular kit (and the materials involved), but that’s why some builders hesitate to use the rubber.
