Getting Ready

A slight deviation from the schedule here for reasons which will become apparent in the next few days.

The Vulcan has been filled and sanded, around the wing joints and tail cone. I have also discovered a great new way to mask small apertures – Earplugs! you know the deformable foam ones, simply roll them between your fngers to compress them, insert them into the hole, watch them slowly expand to fill the space perfectly.

The bomb aimers window has been masked off as well. Also the intakes have had the earplug treatment into the impeller channels, the mouths don’t need masking as they will be the same colour as the fuselage

A quick test spray of the primer along the joins to highlight what further dressing is needed

Quite a lot at the top, not so much underneath

Finally a couple of sticks into the conveniently placed missile mounts to ease painting.
