Stained Glass Part 5
Another day at DRAW in Drumchapel
Firstly the glass is transferred from the cutting drawing to the lead layout.
The leading process itself starts with two battens to align the lead to. Then the first pieces of glass and lead are laid up
The build up continues, adding pieces of glass, and lead cut to length, using horseshoe nails to hold pieces in situ as you go along
It’s a slower process than the glass cutting, so work has had to finish with the last few pieces yet to go in.
Another break next weekend, so I shall pick up again in a fortnight.
