Smoothing away with a dashing iron
As you might expect in the GR3 it’s somewhat more complex
The dash has all the dials and knobs moulded in.
But with decals provided for the main guages
Which, after a little time with the solvent look rather the part. However the gunsight provided is a slab of plastic, which Airfix suggest you paint chrome. After a rummage in the spares box I found a transparency that is a perfect fit, with a moulded frame I painted black, that looks a whole lot better.
Then some fine detail work with various permanent markers, paint, and scraping away the paint for the pale knobs, and the dash has come to life. The radar scope is rather lovely, though its mounting need some cleaning up before final fitting as you can see.
No decals for the side consoles just time, patience and very fine brushes.
